Dr. John Ervin joined the Eye Center of Central Georgia in 2004 as a Board Certified Ophthalmologist.
After graduating Cum Laude from Middlebury College in 1992, Dr. Ervin completed medical school at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1999. He was awarded the Luis Perez Award as the outstanding medical student in the LSU Ochsner Ophthalmology residency program.
Dr. Ervin completed his Internal Medicine internship at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in 2000. He then earned a Master of Public Health at the LSU Health Sciences Center in 2001.
In 2001, Dr. Ervin was awarded the Most Outstanding Presentation for Clinical Research. During his residency, he was also published in the medical journal Ophthalmology. Dr. Ervin completed his Ophthalmology residency at the LSU Health Sciences Center in 2004 and served as Chief Resident during his final year.
As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Ervin welcomes new patients interested in having refractive surgery, as well as diabetic care, glaucoma management, and cataract and glaucoma surgery.
