Dr. Sid Moore, the founder and Medical Director of Eye Center's Vision Correction Center, is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, in practice since 1989 at the Eye Center of Central Georgia.
He was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of The University of Mississippi in 1981, where he was awarded the Taylor Medal in Biology. The Taylor Medal is granted to the outstanding student in Biology.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1985, finishing 1st in his class of 150 students. While in medical school, he served as class president his first two years, as student body vice-president his third year, and as student body president his fourth year. He was also president of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society whose membership is limited to those in the top 10% of their class.
Dr. Moore completed his Ophthalmology Residency at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1989, where he served as Chief Resident his final year.
In 1989, he joined the Eye Center of Central Georgia. He is also the Medical Director of the Eye Center’s ambulatory surgery center, the first single specialty ophthalmic ambulatory surgery center in Georgia. He specializes in refractive surgery, cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetic eye diseases, and comprehensive ophthalmology. He has been performing refractive surgery since 1992.

- The Outpatient Ophthalmology Surgical Society
- The American Academy of Ophthalmology
- The Georgia Society of Ophthalmology, where he is currently Vice President
- The Medical Association of Georgia, where he has served as Chairman of the Young Physicians’ Section and as a delegate to the House of Delegates, and is a member of the Board of Directors
- The Bibb County Medical Society, where he served as President in 2005
- The Georgia Society of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, where he was a founding member and currently serves as President, and is also Chairman of the Political Action Committee
He also holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine.
