John C. Ervin, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. John Ervin joined the Eye Center of Central Georgia as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in 2004 and welcomes new patients.
Dr. Ervin was a Cum Laude graduate of Middlebury College. He completed medical school at Louisiana State University Medical Center, where he received the Luis Perez Award for outstanding medical student by the LSU/Ochsner residency program. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation. He earned a Master of Public Health at the LSU Health Sciences Center. He finished his Ophthalmology training at LSU/Ochsner in New Orleans. During his residency he received an award for Most Outstanding Presentation for Clinical Research and served as Chief Resident.
Since moving to Macon, Dr. Ervin has been an active member of the local residential and medical community. He has served on the board of the Historic Macon Foundation and the Intown Macon Neighborhood Association. He has also represented the Bibb County Medical Society as a delegate to the Medical Association of Georgia and he currently serves on the Council of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology.
